Come Celebrate as the PanAm Torch passes along Hamilton’s waterfront

Evening celebrations including arrival of the Pan Am torch – Pier 8/ Waterfront Trust
The torch relay is truly a magical moment that invites Canadians to participate, celebrate and share the excitement of the Games. From town to town, the Pan Am flame will ignite pride and enthusiasm in more than 130 communities. The Pan Am Torch comes to Hamilton June 21.
Event kick off 4:30 pm
Come out and join in the fun during the evening celebration site in Hamilton, welcome the arrival of the torch and the lighting of the cauldron, refreshments, and a Pan Am activation zone for youth. There is something for everyone, come and join us!
Everyone is invited to come and watch the Water Show- Fly Board Demonstration at Pier 8 to kick off the Torch Relay evening celebrations. The show includes three performers and music. The water show will conclude with a flotilla of vessels from Hamilton Port Authority. A display not to be missed!
5:30 to 8 pm:
Main Stage entertainment includes Michael St George – Caribbean entertainer, Latin Train – Hispanic entertainment, Zumba Demonstration by Instructor, Maria Isabel Gracia Castro.
7 pm:
The official Pan Am Games Torch Bearer Convoy arrives at Pier 8 Waterfront Trust with Official Greetings and the cauldron being lit, entertainment by Quique Escamilla, 2015 Juno Award winner World Music Album of the Year.
