DOCKS & AMENITIES UPDATE
The dive team has raised the north ramp off the Iroquois Pier. Kropf’s barge was on site Monday and Tuesday and reattached it Tuesday afternoon.
Kropf is setting up for the carpenter sub to install dryer vents and adjust/trim the doors.
By the end of this week, Kropf advises that all the fingers will be reinstalled, with the exception of two. Those needed different brackets, which have been ordered. Decking panels will be repaired, cover plates repaired/replaced.
Security fencing will be installed during the following week.
All pedestals have been reinstalled with water services connected. There are two fire pedestals remaining to be installed.
Jordan will arrange for his crew to set up a dock box installation that can be used as a template for HPA, and will provide the first batch of hardware so HPA can start installing dock boxes as required.
The urinal flush valve issue does seem to be pressure related. Jordan has asked his water main contractor, Wm. Groves Ltd., to check on their design to see if a pressure pump will solve the problem. We understand this is a concern to boaters, and hasn’t been solved yet, but we are working away at it.
BREAKWATER UPDATE
Riggs Engineering’s insurance company carried out their inspection Monday and Tuesday of this week. Awaiting their report on findings. Not sure as of yet when to expect this information.
Kehoe is still waiting for the teams to complete their reports and recommendations prior to initiating a salvaging of the north breakwater. Ken has said his intention is to bring the north breakwater up as soon as possible after the reports are completed.
Kehoe has placed flashing lights at points all along the NE breakwater, in addition to the lights that are remaining and operating since it sank. They have also placed flashing lights on the east end of the North breakwater; the lights at the west end of the North breakwater were still working this week when Kehoe’s guy was on site.
HPA has indicated they will have their Port Patrol go past the site at night and identify that the lights are in fact working, and advise accordingly.
Kehoe has arranged for a crew to attend the site weekly to check on the breakwater, and adjust/repair/pump as needed to keep the breakwater level and floating.
