COVID-19 Update from Harbour West Marina

Dear Boaters,

Like many Canadian businesses, the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA) has been taking every precautionary measure recommended by the World Health Organization, and the Public Health Agency of Canada to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and we will continue to do so over the next few weeks, and into the foreseeable future.

Following the advice of local municipal, provincial and federal health agencies, we know the time to act is now to help flatten the curve. As such, the majority of our staff will be working from home starting today and for the rest of the week to reduce the level of social interaction, while maintaining business continuity.

This means the Harbour West Marina offices, at 210 Hillyard Street and 1 Guise Street, will be closed from now until March 20th in the interest of protecting the health, safety and well-being of our customers and employees.

Though our marina office staff will be working remotely, they are still available by phone and email. If you have any questions in the coming week, please contact with our marina staff at 905-525-3622, or you can reach us by email at [email protected].

We plan on maintaining our current launch schedule with the dates we have provided to our customers. We will continue to evaluate the situation and if there are any changes, we will send out additional updates. Similarly, if you are exhibiting symptoms or living with someone who is, please contact our staff to reschedule your launch date as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We have no doubt taking precautions now will enable a stronger and swifter recovery at home and around the world.

We will continue to keep you updated as the situation continues to evolve.

Sincerely,

Kyle Auton
